    The company is a Tour Operator licensed by Turismo de Portugal (the portuguese tourism authority) under permit no. RNAAT 51/2013 and complies with all legal health, safety and insurance regulations.     The company creates and operates in-destination experiences. It offers and market tourist services, individualized or bundled, including, but not limited to, excursions, trips, visits, guided tours, accommodation, entertainment and restaurant reservations, tickets for attractions and events, leisure activities, nature activities, wine and gastronomic activities, cultural discovery and others (hereinafter referred to as "services"), directly to travelers or indirectly to them through associated or partnered websites or through authorized online and offline travel agents.

    By visiting www.theamityfamily.com, hereinafter the “website” or “Site”, certain information is transmitted to us, for example IP-address, type and version of your web-browser, operating system, the website you came from and the time of your visit. This data cannot be used by us to identify individual visitors. The data is exclusively used to improve the popularity, content and functionality of our website. Whenever we collect personal or business data (e-mail address, name, address, phone number and other) this is provided by the visitor on a purely voluntary basis.

    In addition, the structure and technological functionality of the website is based on and powered by a pre-developed web resource (website builder tool) provided by our booking system and booking channel management provider - Bókun (a Tripadvisor Company) – where you can check about their privacy policy.

  • Booking, Enquiry and Payment Policy

    Whilst inquiring or booking a tour or any other tourist service on our website, you’ll be asked to provide some personal information that will be collected through our booking system, Bókun, a Tripadvisor company, www.bokun.io, in order to administer your bookings and ensure you get the best service possible. Full name, e-mail address, postal address, phone number, date of birth, nationality, and general information about your booking wishes are the main details you will be asked for. You may also be asked to provide some personal data about your travel needs and habits, which may be used to check if a trip is right for you or eventually for marketing research (i.e., dietary requirements, food allergies, pre-existing medical conditions, disabilities, country of origin, age, the kind of traveler you are, how you heard about us, if you’ve been on one of our tours already, and others. The data processed for marketing research is strictly anonymized before being processed by our marketing department or marketing services providers.

    In the case of online payment through our website, we integrate with a third-party service provider and your personal data will be exclusively processed via one of our two payment gateway providers, namely Stripe (www.stripe.com) or PayPal (www.paypal.com), which are two of the world’s largest and most trusted payments provider brands. This means that, for online payments originated through our website, this provider processes all payments on our behalf and, as such, we never access your personal banking or financial data. We invite you to learn more about their privacy policy as we are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party vendors and providers, including payment providers.
